Michelin XZE is an all-position radial truck tire designed for regional and line haul applications. This tire was built to be extremely durable and chip and cut resistant. With the promised Long Tread Life, Michelin XZE offers excellent handling. With its four deep circumferential grooves, it effectively evacuates water and slush away from the tire’s footprint and reduces any chances of hydroplaning. By looking closer at the grooves, we see Miniature Groove Wall Sipes that help deliver long even wear and provide grippy feeling while driving. The casing was built with a Full-Width Elastic Protector Ply that makes it durable and protects from bruising and penetrations. The Curb Guards protect sidewalls against impact and abrasions and promote a long casing life. In between the tread blocks at the bottom of the circumferential grooves, Michelin XZE has a Groove Bottom Protector that protects this truck tire from stone drilling. The internal construction features a Rectangular Bead Bundle that simulates a solid steel rod “strapping” the tire onto the wheel. It stabilizes the whole bead region and minimizes deformation to extend the casing life.
